Description

Yes, a user's license type can be edited via the User Management System using the steps below. Here are the allowed changes:

  • Static to Floating or Floating to Static: Changing from one "standard" type to another doesn't affect the user groups and privileges of the user. However, please review this Help section to understand the differences between these license types before making the change.
  • Restricted to Static or Restricted to Floating: When upgrading a user from restricted to "standard", the user will have more privileges than they did when they were restricted. Once converted, the user will be a member of the Users group. Please review this Help section to understand the differences between these license types before making the change.
To edit a user's license type:

  1. Login to the User Management System.
  2. Click on the Edit icon.
  3. Select a user account in the pulldown, then click on the Edit button.
  4. Change the License Type and click Update.
